How to get the best ranking improvement from SEO work

I'm working to improve the ranking of a site for a list of keywords.

I know I have to work in internal links, external links, content quality, content quantity, correct use of keywords, penalization checks, and so on.

How can I know in which of these areas I should give priority at a certain moment?
Are there tools that suggest which is the area I should work at this moment to get the best ranking improvement?

Probably my question was not clear.

I don't want you to help me to choose what to do now. What I'd like is having a tool that suggests what the site is missing so I can give priority to that activity. It's not specific for a site. I'm looking for a tool that makes a diagnosis of a site and suggests what is the most important thing I can do for that site at that moment.

try to get good backlinks with different anchor

There's a tool on this site that can give you a score or analysis of a website. Scroll down to where it says "Get Website Insights and Domain Analysis" and put your web address in the box.

 

What's your monthly budget for a tool like this? There's only two programs that I know of that can do this.

 

Try Google Pagespeed Insights. It's a free tool and evaluates your webpages for both speed and optimization. It's not highly detailed. But it does look at what Google thinks are important issues related to speed and other optimization topics. Give it a try. It will give you some good ideas.

 

I think you should not do something alone. You should work in parallel in all directions. It will lead to success.

For onsite use the tools to know the loophole on your site and optimize them, content and backlinks are something you have constantly keep working on.

 

At first try to focus on quality content along with correct use of keywords rather than quantity. Then work of links which will help you to get the desired results. You can also make use of different tools available for further optimization.

First of all, check your pages for indexable and mobile friendly. Use search console and page speed insights.
If everything is okay. Remove all broken links, if you have. Find keywords which you want to have a good position, use it in title h1.
