How to get tax id if I am not US resident?

    Hello,

    I want to get a tax ID in order to open ecommerce shop as dropshipping companies ask for it in order to cooperate. Anyone please can help or tell where I can get information about how i can get tax iD if I do not live in US.
    How fast can I do it? Where should I do it? In which state should I get the tax ID? can I use tax id from my country or shall I get tax id from US if I want to sell for mainly US customers and get my inventory from US companies?

    Please please give some advice!

    Pretty sure you dont need one even if buying from the usa but others might verify this

    you could always visit www.irs.gov and have a poke around, as they are who our taxes are done through.

    If you are not an American, you can do business in America without a work permit, etc...
