Best way is do a search on the industry you're looking at and you'll get a ton of keywords just from the first page of results.

    Hi Kelvin,

There are lots of paid tools out there, but the one i find best to use initially is your head .. and its free. Just take a look at the product you are promoting and look at it from the customers position. Ask yourself what you would type in if you were looking to buy the product.

Do not pray to the gods of Olympus. It won't help in getting targeted keywords.

But in all seriousness, it depends on what you mean by targeted??

    Target for what exactly?

For email sign-ups? For sales? Each will require different types of keywords. Sales kinds of KW's are phrases that have words like "cheap", "discount", "sale", and so on. See?

So it comes down to the *sub-niche* you're targeting (i.e. IM niche > (sub-niche) = new product on the market > buyers, info-seekers, etc). Buyer-type KW's would/could be people looking for deals on a newly launched product.... "CB Quantum scam" or "CB Quantum bonus" or "CB Quantum reviews". However these sub-niches could be or even *affiliate* info-seekers too (seeking for info/spying on how other affiliates are promoting the 'latest and greatest' {B.S :)} to come out. So it's a matter of testing with various types of matching landing pages - i.e. info-seeker landing pages = review pages - be creative and/or better than everyone with this BTW.

    So um, yeah.

Oh and you can thank me later by putting me on one of your sales letters with my very own testimonial when you release the product for this information. Deal? OK good, thanks.

Research, research, and more research. You can start with almost any free keyword tool. Googles is ok but their are tons of others out there that are all free. They are good for starting out from scratch but use them as a rough guide.

You start off with general keywords and then break those down into smaller pieces. For example, search for shoes. One of the results will be jordan shoes. Search on that and you get cheap jordan shoes, custom jordan shoes. And it goes on and on.

Not hard at all, anyone can do it. The trick is knowing when to stop drilling down and recognizing you have found a winner. With anything else, there is a small learning curve, but very easy..
