as per i know, if your branch does not have swift code then you cannot receive swift transfer in it. Try to move your account from current branch to main branch of that city, that might help you.

Every bank will have their swift code, The branch need not have a specific swift code, Some smaller branches use a centralized swift code of their head office and using the same you can receive international funds, Simply approach the branch manager where you hold an account, He will provide you with the swift code and other details required for the successful transfer of the funds to your account

well on a friends advice i added the main branch's swift code

    one more question
when i tried to withdraw they asked for a bank verification process (well there were 3 options but letter not yet received and i dont have a cc). they said that we will send a deposit and in the reference column. they will right a code which i will have to provide there .

Where can i see that verification code ? in the payment history ? i have myself deposited money in some sbi accts ; there is no such coloum to right some note to the acct holder . how do i get the verification code ?

Someone who has a bank acct in sbi and has ever withdrawn form moneybookers plz answer.

You can find the SWIFT code here:
    http://www.swift.com/biconline

if they have direct SWIFT code, else you need get their correspondent bank information.

As far as i know your bank needs a direct SWIFT code to receive money from moneybookers. You can do with correspondent banks as well but you need to be cautious.

As u mention Isfc code.. It is the Swift code for that branch.. If u enter Isfc code instead of Swift. that will do also.

IFSC codes are totally different from SWIFT codes..former is a unique one within the country while later is unique one in whole world...so dont use ifsc for swift they are differemt...I have swift code and ifsc different...at least here in India :p

Yes swift and Ifsc code are different. If you have checkbook, you can see at the bottom.
