    1) Be honest: Don't try to fill a forms your self - they will ban you. Be professional - read the rules and follow them.

    2) Work with advertises that you like: if you don't like sports - don't work with sport shops, if you like movies work with DVD shops.

    3) Select the right advertiser: Don't pick a advertiser with EPC=$1.00. take advertiser with high EPC like $60.00 but if you see a advertiser with EPC= $300.00 that you don't like, remember rule #2 and work with the one with lower EPC but you know what you know what you are working about.

CJ works best if you pick a product to sell that fits EXACTLY the content of your site. Be specific.

Use text links, not banner graphics. Don't simply display a link, but use some "pre-sell" content around it. Talk about the topic that relates to the affilate's product or service, and then recommend it. Integrate the link into your content.

I signed up for CJ at the end of last year. I stuck to a specific product and placed decent content (well, I thought so..:) ). Didn't make one cent and then CJ cancelled my account after 4 months for no apparent reason. :(

But don't let me disencourage you..lol. Hope you do better than me!

I've been with cj about 2 months, promoting ebay stuff... where do you find the affiliate offers for filling out forms, getting leads, etc? When I click on "get links" I see lists of online stores selling physical products, am I missing something??

Look for commission sale vs lead. Leads will involve a visitor to fill out a form, etc...

I think the text links vs. banners is a very important point. Wondering what people with a lot of CJ experience think performs better and why?

It has been proven that text links work better. I read this when I was starting my site and didn't believe it, but it's true. Now I am moving toward small graphic links with descriptions / recommendations next to them. They definitely work better than banners ...

You can use CJ thru adwords but it is very risky. IMO, it is better that you have your own site then advertise from there.

The affiliate income may not cover the money spent on Adwords.
