Start of with establishing blogs for yourself in which one can be about your personal experience while trying to articles etc. Once you have handful of sites with quality contents which you have written you can use it to get descent job for you. Good Luck.
Hey, Making a living out of article writing is not going to be hard for you if you live in India. I hope this sounds encouraging to you. Work out how much you would like to earn in first 6-8 weeks- This might sound like a common-sense statement but a figure gives you a goal to work towards. Let's say you would like to reach $100/week in 8 weeks time. You'll now do the maths all the time to hit that target. Do you have enough time already to commit full-time?- A lot of writers here start as part-timers. I started that way as well. If you have only few hours a day, you have to work accordingly. Don;t take on projects more than you can handle. Reputation building takes time. So tread carefully. After doing a quick research here at DP, find your asking rate- Infact, this could be the starting point for you. Assess your skills, time available, niche-knowledge, and then work out an initial asking rate. Starting cheap will get you orders and build your itrader. But aim to reach your optimum rate eventually. Watch and learn from other writers here- You get to see some great writer marketers in action here. Learn how they present themselves, how they market their services in their sigs etc. Always ask for feedback from clients to improve your writing- Great way of improving. Always seek feedback and work on advice. Always participate in forum here- Lot of guys start out with posting in threads but soon as they get some orders they disappear never to return. Don;t make this mistake. Having a presence in forum community and the ability to participate and contribute to this forum is really important. Keep working to further improve your writing skills- Last but not the least. Always look to improve your core writing skills. We should never quit learning. Hope the above gives you some solid starting point. Dn't hesitate to PM any 'senior', or me if you are stuck.
First test your English skills because the English which we talk is slightly different from writing in articles.
