It is hard to get people to submit, and I hate automatic submissions, so new here and trying to get the ins and outs of directory. Hope someone mentions how to make a paid listing directory big here too. Thanks
well you need to offer something to customers not just a listing in a directory noone will ever see gain some respect from search engines by getting some good quality related backlinks. you will also need to gain some pagerank which will come with the "good quality related backlinks" phpld has details pages for each listing which since 3.5 now have meta tags and they gain pagerank also this means the customer gets 2 se freindly links with PR and the details page gets visitors from google/msn/yahoo etc also + any traffic they will get from people searching the directory, if you promote right basicly just put heaps of time into your directory and it should pay off ok
