How to get someone banned?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by simstar, Jan 24, 2009.

I was reading through DP threads in the Google Adsense forum and suddenly thought of a method to destroy competitors. I will not take part in this but it crossed my mind.

If you took a competitors advert code and placed it onto a warez, porn or whatever website that you had created and then alerted Google yourself. Would this get them banned?

I am not going to do this as its completely unethical, but there is lots of unethical people out there on the web who would do this.

My question is would it work?

It's not completely possible to ban someone, but you can report things that are against Adsense TOS. Click the "Ads By Google" link, which will open information about Adsense and Adwords. Scroll down and you'll find a link to report the website/ads.

If my competitor bans me using sone bad techniques then also I can appeal to adsense again.

So, I don't think this can be done so easily till you don't make your competitor click his ads himself..lol

You can easily get it back if someone does this to you by simply contacting google and show that you had no affiliation with the website, they investigate check that your ip address is anywhere near there and you have no relation to the webmaster of the warez, porn, etc site.

A better method (sorry I had to think of one) would probably to get an autoclicker and a proxy list and just mass click their ads which will flag their adsense account and once they see that it is one person using proxies they will ban the adsense account and how would they know whether it was the adsense holder or not?

I wouldn't do this though this wouldn't be fair to the ad payers and adsense holder. Don't do this!

I think in the early days, this sort of parctice was common!!! But as times have moved on, google know what goes on and are fully aware it does happen, but at least they give you the chance to prove the facts to them :)

Would get you banned. It wouldn't take much for google to find out you owned the site you were placing the competitor's ads on. Why not try to outdo the competitor honestly?

Be good to others and the world would be good to you....

Why worry of what evil minds might do....if you have pure conscience within you....

just specify the sites you allowed to put your adsense code under Allowed Sites in Google Adsense admin page and thats it. all other sites having your code will not be counted.. you are safe..

I was just about to say exactly same thing...
You can control the sites that are allowed to display ads on behalf of your account so if you have noticed this - no one can't do anything to your Adsense account.

Anyway, a good thread for those who haven't done yet so - DO IT, especially if adsense is the main way of monetizing your sites!

funny thread, people like you will never grow up your website! because what you do is to destory other, not build yourself up! you only mess up with nothing at all at the end! and your competitor will still earning a lot!

ok..the question is also this.. if your code is used by evil minds..then they click on the links.. would the adwords publisher still pays for the invalid clicks? or would google adsense return the money to the publisher becoz it is an invalid click?..

    you can simply use it

I never think to do this. I know the intelligent person sitting in the google already thought this type of issue early and its not easy now to cheat.

modpriest I really don't believe you read my thread completely.

I have a good website and completely ethical (unless you view video game codes as unethical).

I am looking to prevent myself from running into troubles like this, not practice it myself. You are full of advice for me so here is some for yourself:

Read threads before you post an idiotic comment!

It wouldn't do a thing if the site is not in their "allowed sites". End of story.
