Hi can you explain how to get search box in google search results?

for example: if i search NASA it will show search box in google search results below

site links.

I want this is for my website so please can anyone explain how to get search box in

google search results?

The appearance of the search box is based on Google algorithm, so you have no real control over it.

From their blog announcing the new search box:

the sites that display the site search box are chosen algorithmically based on metrics that measure how useful the search box is to users.

Most likely the larger and more authoritative your site, the more likely you will have a search box appear under your listing.

That is related to the sitelink, and most of the time, these searches appear for very high end sites, like gov or edu sites. You cannot manually choose to show the search box. Atleast as of today, there is no such way to do anything about it!

 

I can't complain about my top rank on many queries and about the 10 sitelinks shown, but it would be nice to get a search box in the Google results as well.
Maybe its because im still using vb3.

 

These search boxes which can help user search the entire site in Google's index appears when a brand term is searched, it appears for a reputable, authoritative and site with huge number of pages. Google does this on its own. There is no way that one can request Google to add it when their brand term is searched.
