How to get rid of this...

So when building a basic site I used BannerFans to make a couple banners. Well that name hijacked the top part when you do a search in google listing.

It will say BannerFans and then the typical paragraph and then my url at the bottom.

I eliminated the BannerFans in the HTML code, including all banners themselves but it is still there in the google listing.

    What other options are there?

The *only* option you have is to wait until Google refreshes its index. Sorry.

Well at least I now know. Thanks, TechnoGeek!

I hope this happens sooner than later though.

    You are welcome.

You need to have a lot of patience in this SEO game.

    Good luck!

Should be gone soon, just wait for google to crawl your site again.

I allow my site to go live when being worked on... it's not open for business yet... but I've had a few bots check it out. Weird how they find us.
