I have registered a domain around 6 months back there after i had installed a forum and after few months when i was checking my forum i got shocked. Coz of my forum filled with lot of online medicine posts and to those posts they have created around 800 backlinks. I have deleted everything. Now the forum is clean. But still in my webmaster its showing some medicine keywords & not getting traffic to my website. Please help me to delete these backlinks.
Accordingly to this video by an Google Employee: seomoz.org/blog/whiteboard-friday-interview-with-googles-maile-ohye Backlinks cannot hurt a site. googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/10/dealing-with-low-quality-backlinks.html
really?then why do you need to build links if back links won't hurt those would mean back links doesn't give weigh?
ERR back links can only effect your high SEPR going up not going down. Basically you can Increase your SEPR With backlink but no decrease it with Backlinks.
No, it's a forum that got spammed by bots. You can definitely be punished for bad outgoing links. All you can do is to wait it out. Eventually Google might trust your site again.
@ the OP Those are not backlinks. Those are external links. External links are the only links that can hurt your site, if you link to bad sites. However, just to add to this in case other people come across this thread and don't already know this, in the case of backlinks, if a bad site links to your site, Google will not penalize you, as you have absolutely no control over who links to your site. So, even if you yourself somehow accidently (in the case of not knowing it's a bad site) link to your own website from a known bad site, it won't matter. My suggestion for the OP would be to post your question on the Google webmaster central forums, so someone from the big G can check things out for you.
