Hi, I have a website http://www.glemnet.co.uk which is telecom related website. I want it to rank good in google. Site doesnt have good Page Rank as well. Please suggest me how to get better rankings?
Install alexa in your computer and view your site, or pay few cyber cafe to install alexa and set up your page there.
You need to research particular keywords for your projects. Backlinks and content are KING! So you need them to grab top ranking at Google.
Everyone wants to rank good in Google. Only a select few will hit the almighty first page. There's no magic. Your pages will be indexed if they haven't been already, sitemap or not. You gotta do the basics, build quality back links, optimize your pages, especially title and description keyword emphasis. You've got to drop your site name everyplace you can think of.
If your going for the keyword "good health" you would want to do the following: Put "good health" or something with the two words "good" and "health" in the h1 tag on your site. Sprinkle the words through out your content. Build backlinks with the anchor text "good health". ( <a href="http://yoursitehere.com">Good Health</a> ) Hope that helpedd.

Keyword, meta description, and relevent content is key. I wouldnt use too many keywords though, I only use one keyword phrase, in my site and its front page under the keyword phrase "affordable graphic design" Everytime you mention your keyword in your content make it bold. good luck
It appears from looking at your yahoo inlinks you have only 10. You have to get more backlinks from sites relative to yours. Plus your site is young at only 5 months. The backlinks are your biggest issue though.
i disagree, backlinks may effect PR but it doesnt do much for search engine rankings. That depends on content more then anything. Age doesn't matter my site is 2 months old and its on the front page for google. and now a PR 3 The main thing is picking the right keywords that people will use to search for your site. Its also nice if these words exist in your domain name. Your meta title should be that key word, your meta description should begin with that keyword. And as i said before put every instance of that keyword in bold. This will work for you. But you have to be reasonable with your keyword. Dont pick "web directory" as your keyword, its possible but chances are slim you will make it to the front. Be more specific with your phrase.
Thanks all for your replies..But again i want to ask that What if my site is a dynamic site, I have created static pages as well and disallowed the dynamics ones by robot.txt so that when even google will crawl, it crawls my ststic pages. Is this the right way to get ranked for dynamic urls????
