    If you're actually talking about Yahoo search engine, you can improve your rank more by doing promoting your site more like backlinking, submitting articles, use of social bookmarking sites, and writing in forums

    1) If you want to get ranked in yahoo messenger,the only way is to get more friends may be thouands or millions and send direct message to them to see your site daily, you'll get more traffic as well as good ranking in Y! messenger (lol)

    2) The simple way to get more backlinks from Yahoo is just answer in Y! answer and post your URL as source of the answer and can get more backlinks...

    Just do the same thing you would do for Google. Yahoo is a little slower at indexing pages, so give it some time.

    This is what I really proved in myself while doing my SEO works. Yahoo Search Engines prefer to credit sites having lots of articles. In this point, Yahoo give priority in content building.

    What do you mean by "get rank in yahoo messenger"? You will not rank in YM. I think what you are trying to say is get rank in SERP (Search engine result page)

    thats prolly because all SEO technique outthere are optimized for google, I've never seen SEO blog dedicate their blog for yahoo optimization.
