    Getting good rank on search engines need both on page and off page SEO techniques to be done. In one page all tags , especially title, description , H1 and alt tags must be optimize properly, in off page all link building techniques helps in getting better rank on search engines.

    Submit your website in yahoo and bing search engines and try to get quality backlinks, i have seen that buy doing quality social bookmarking tasks keywords go rapidly high in yahoo and bing. But don't forget that "Content is King".
