I have just finished compiling data for a little tool that might be useful for you. I want to know what you think of it and what changes need to be done. Essentially, this tool will give you the list of top quality websites that are ranking for the keywords you want run for. For instance: Your client is in the real estate niche and you want get backlinks for his websites. So search for the keyword "real estate" and it will give you the list of websites ranking for that specific keyword. it will not only give you a list of websites ranking for that keyword but it will also give you the top quality sites. This method gives you quality/relevant websites that you can get links from and therefore avoiding any fishy websites or link farm sites. This tool is not open to public yet so feel free to use it and let me know what you think Idea came from here: How to get Backlinks Linksearcher: Tool (I know there is an issue with the table's width... I have no clue on how to fix that)
In my opinion, if you want to beat your competitor just check their backlinks over opensiteexplorer.org, then build backlinks over theirs. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Yes, I agree that using the competitors links is a very good way in getting new links but the question is...How do you know the links are legit? You also have to understand that many webmasters are actually getting tons of bad backlinks out of their website in the post Penguin's update. My method actually pushes you to go out there and get quality links.
There are lots of tools like opensiteexplorer, majestic, seomoz, backlinkwatch or simply you can do link:url in google to check the backlink of competitors.
i think guest post on the quality sites which is only provide news related to you niche ... you can get link there by writing quality guest post in the form of news and submit the sites , if your news is reliable then they will approve your news and you will get the backlink.. thanks
How can I get access to your tool, I would be happy to give my thoughts on it. Personally right now I'm using ahref and and majestic seo to check competitor links.
Hi MR. Coe you need to subscribe on these tool, after getting subscription you can access these tools
You can take a look at the list by clicking here "Onerookie - Linksearcher" How to use it: 1. Search for the keyword that you want to be ranked for - You will then get a list of high authority sites who ranked for that keywords 2. Create an email template and start contacting their webmasters. It is a manual method which will give high quality backlinks from the top Alexa website. If you dont care about the quality of the links and just want a bunch of links, you can use competitor's links strategy.
do directory submission with highpage rank sites.do posting in a highpagerank forum using signature, sumbit your article in ezine article,do comment on dofallow and relevant blogs to get quality backlinks to your site.
Ofcourse, if you want to beat competitior's website, you need to build more links than competitiors. So yes, find out where your competitor's website links are coming from and try to get links for your website from same websites. Yes opensiteexplorer and backlinkwatch are good tool.
Take time to build quality links instead of rushing through them. It takes time but it is worth the time spent!
I don't think there are any quick and easy link building strategies any longer for those looking to build a long term site - sure there are black hat methods and you will get banned or penalised. create a site with quality content that people will want to link to. Create quality content with links back to your site that other people in the same niche will post on their site. This is really the current only way for long term.
I have do disagree with a few posts above.. I dont think it is hard at all to get quality links. I think it is actually easier to get a quality nowadays after the Penguin updates. Basically Google is telling us: 1. No more links spamming 2. More Social 3. Harder for blackhat 4. Quality over Quantity 5. Link Placement (No more useless link on footer or anything similar to linkfarms) It used to be hard to get 1000 quality links but since Google is now asking for less links and better quality.. It would be easier to just pick the best 10 links for your project.. Pretty simple Again.. If you want long term effect, you will need to work on quality and make it looks like it is natural. Read the article about "Invisible SEO". You do not want any patterns that can be tracked by Google.. it has to look natural.
I would have to disagree with a fact here. Getting your competition's links is not one of the smartest idea. Let's say you start doing this, and you build link after link where he has. You think you will rank it's positions or unrank him ?! I am confused, because if your competitor has 100k backlinks, how you will be able to return that amount of links ? ( in time true ).. but more or less some links cant be copied, or you cant create a BL there too.. I think it's simply a waist of time. Think, that competition if its stable on Top 3, will always have his eye over his small competition, and try to keep his position there..So, its not the smartest thing, i guess.
That is so true. The links that made you competitor popular right now might have no effect on your current SEO. He may acquired those links via different technics that was allowed a few years ago but not after the Google's updates. You also have to think that right now, many webmasters are getting spammy links out of their websites via the Disallow tool. The best way in my opinion is to get quality links only and less than 20 for better results. Meanwhile, focusing on the branding part and social strategy. The goal is to create a certain buzz via social media and give value to existing links. This will appear natural to Google and therefore making you an approachable site.
After weeks hard working I finally gained PageRank 2 for my blog www.medio-cracy.com. I've linked the url with every social media account I have (a lot..), put the url into every online signature and emai - and I interacted a lot with other folks. But I still have a question regarding SEO: How can I compete with other sites within the search results..? I mean, does Google pick up titles or floating text or meta description from my blog?
Dude you are using a frame... this is just really bad for your seo. You basically have no content whatsoever just a frame from 69.195.124.81/~mediocra/wordpess_install/
