Hi all, A quick question about quality backlinks. NOTE: This thread has nothing to do with traditional ways of getting backlinks. I already know about social bookmarking, blog commenting, guest blogging, article marketing and etc. etc. And I also know relevant backlinks have more importance than irrelevant ones. So please, share your precious experience as per the question below: I need your professional opinions on how do you consider "quality backlinks"; and why? What I want to know is, how to rank and add value to a newly launched website in a matter of months by creating such quality incoming links. PS: I have a reasonable SEO experience and knowledge and I would appreciate those who would share something new and innovative; and best of all; things that work. Thanks
I think an effective use of all white hat techniques could be helpful in getting back links or can have a dramatic impact on traffic too.
Try creating a nice linkbait. Think of something that will catch other people's attention and will make them link to your website naturally as a source of something informative or interesting.
Thanks for the tip mate. Any ideas on how to start with link baiting. I must admit that I never get this to work. Would appreciate if you could give me a head-start. Regards,
I belive backlinks are the most important part to promoting a site in the organic listings. Unfortunately, for many webmasters getting quality backlinks is difficult art. - Press releases are fine and you *may* get a few good backlinks from that effort, but you never know. Obviously, a quality release on something of substinence has a better chance of getting picked up by quality sites. Expect the usually amount of scraper sites to link to you.
Do some old school marketing. Get on the phone and talk to people and organizations in your niche about what your website offers. You'll be surprised by the number of high quality groups will put a note about your site in their newsletter (email, and online) which results in links back to your site.
