I am really amazed to see how these guys got PR5. (http://www.widgetopians.com). Although they don't have any content and simply posting the words, they're claiming 150 visitors per day. Will anybody know the secret of building PR5 like this? (links: widgetopians.com fetches 36 backlinks from google) Moreover, Obtaining link from these sites will boost the PR?
that's interesting site I asked before about the techniques, and there are some guys here can increase from pr0 to pr4 easily... i wish one of them PM me
Nor sure. My only pr5 site got listed in DMOZ when you could actually submit sites to dmoz. But it also gets less traffic that a PR3 site I have.
go to sites like www.pagecup.com and get as many links into your site as possible, also have a very strong opening paragraph (keyword density) and offer ads on your site, it does help your PR. Alex.
You can easily defeat that but of course it takes time. Here are my techniques in building links: - submit your articles to as many article directories as you can - be an active member of well known forums like DP - participate in group discussions like msn group, google group, yahoo group. - submit your site to directories. there tons of free out there. - etc.. if you do that Im sure you'll surpass widgetopians.com
Hmmm... I just looked at the site and I think the PR is being faked. Here's why: 1. There's no way a site created on September 3rd this year could've possibly got PR5 (WHOIS registration info: http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=www.widgetopians.com). Last PR update was on Sep, 28, 2006 (Sep 28, TBPR & BL Export: http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html) This means, they got PR 5 in like three weeks. Impossible. 2. They have too few IBLs to get any decent PR: 2 PR5 links (http://wordoku.biz and http://www.widgetopians.com/, their own site!), 3 PR4 links (http://www.webbyawards.com/webbys/current_honorees.php?letter=W&season=10, http://wordoku.biz/archive.aspx, and http://www.linkexperiment.com/), 1 PR2 link (http://talk.iwebtool.com/members/tdotb.html), and around 80 PR0 links. That's it. Plus, if we take into account the number of outbound links and the PR formula, it's even theoretically impossible to get PR5 for them. E.g., the single external PR5 link that points to them has 24 outbounds on it. This, according to the PR formula, gives us the following link value (that is, the PR it passes): 5*0.85 = 4.25, 4.25/24 = 0.177 So, even this seemingly decent link (basically, the only one) passes 1.78 PR. Their own PR5 link from the homepage passes so little PR it's not worth mentioning. 3. Bottom line, toolbar PR is most probably faked. Next toolbar PR update will prove if I'm right or wrong... Warkot
We got to a solid PR5 basically through: • on-page keyword optimization • strategic internal linking, essentially channeling internal PR towards the home page (which is our emphasized page) • submission to tons of directories, thus getting a good variety of links with good anchor text back to the home page The most important change for good, though, has been a large increase in search engine results for the keywords I have emphasized in the anchor text in those links.
Ok thanks - So I have around 13000 back links (as said on backlink watch) And If I have very little links ON my site, that is good right?
I'm sorry, Mong, your tool is great, but it obviously gives wrong results in this case If you refer to ]http://wordoku.biz/ that links to www.widgetopians.com and indeed has PR5, it actually has 25 outbound links (I double-checked, not 24 as I said previously). Simply check it with Search Status for Firefox, and you'll see I'm right (right-click, and select Link Report): Internal links - 12 External links - 13 Total = 25 Internal links also take a share of PR, no? So they all count. Warkot
Somebody do the pr5 abdussamad.co.uk (not mine). It has just a handful of backlinks. 3 in google 13 in total in the big 3 SE's. Is is because of the ac.uk backlink?
Yes and no. The more QUALITY links the better, that'd be correct. Quality, among other things, means links should come from theme-related sites, better with high PR, and few outbound links on the page with your backlink. Warkot
Directory submissons to over 500 quality sites will easily get you from a PR0 to 4 or 5. At least that's my experience.
Shameless plug there ht? Pagecup is certainly not going to result in a pr boost for any site, at least not now being a pr0.
