You won't see results in a week, Google updates PR every couple of months so you'll have to wait for the next PR update. The good news is that you can easily have PR3 or PR4 by that time if you work hard enough, just build your backlinks and you'll be set

It is not possible to get high PR in one night because the actual PageRank is one of 200+ factors that influence webpage’s ranking.

You can definitely get PR1 if you can know the exact timing of Google's toolbar update.

Yes, you can achive PR for your site with in one week only when you re-direct your old site to new domain. This would be one way to get the PR. But this option is also not sure it might take more than one week some times.

Nothing is done in overnight. You have to wait for the PR.

I think it's virtually impossible unless you do some outside advertising.

Its not possible, I guess cos it takes time, months before google. crawls your site...
I think every three months Google updates the PR of every site (if ever there are changes with your PR).
Last 3 months I got my first PR which is 2 and by this January I got PR 3.... Just be patient and make some SEO technique.

I think it is not possible gain pr with in one week, google PR updates on every 2 to 4 months. build back links and wait for next update.

Agreed. If you can try well you could get a PR better than 2. Its no big deal.. Try getting a few links from a PR site that has better PR and try maintaining your site error free.
