    If you have two website: A and B, you can change links with others' like this:
    you link A to his or her site, then he or she link back to your B site, you both get a one way link.

    Make something unique that sites in your theme would love to have, an free ebook or something, let them offer it to their visitors in exchange of a one way link on their site. This method alone if done right would get you very valuable one way links.

    Using co-op networks such as linkvault of receivelinks will allow you to get static text links but you have to contribute to the network with you link slots.

    The forum signature doesn't work that well for SEO, it might send you a little traffic but search engines look at that as a low quality link because anyone can post in forums.

    You could do link baiting whereby you offer something very unique to customers and lots of webmasters will also find it interesting and link back to you. A very effective method but not always easy to achieve.
