I noticed one of my competitor get some pages written few weeks ago presented by Google like they are written in last 24 hours. I use advanced search for last 24 hours. I see URL is not change since Facebook likes are still the same. I watched the source code and I don't see any date. Is it enough just to rewrite text? Although I don't see that text is any different. I tried to Google it but can't find what that could be. For example there is an event on Jan 20th that you write now about but you make that page around Jan 20th to be like new page since you know people will Google it more on that day. I found this page that says rewriting content is not a good thing http://alexwebmaster.com/google-starts-punishing-white-hat-seo-too/ I suppose that is the way how page is presented as new.
different people different thinking anyway I have a website on which I have to change the content weekly I just update sitemap and there is no date on the page.After update it always look new in SERP .
