How to get new pages indexed fast?

    Hi all

I used to submit new web page to digg and other social bookmarketing sites. Based on past experiences, it would be indexed by google fairly quickly, normally within day if not within hours.

However, recently I added new pages to my sites and till now it is still not indexed yet. Any idea on how to get it indexed fast.

    Thanks.

Try those free site submitting tools! They seem to work.

Google is weird about things sometimes. I'll have a new site get indexed in hours and then I do the same thing and it takes 3 days sometimes. There is no rhyme or reason to google's timing sometimes. Sometimes you just need to bite the bullett and wait. or submit to more SB sites or a short article to a "do follow" article directory.

    Good Luck

Yeah that's right. sometimes google spider crawl and indexing fast but sometimes not. It's not have a fix time, either fast or slow. I believe that, the more we submit to the SB sites the more fast we get index.

Are you submitting a site map to your google webmaster tools? That is the first place you should be submitting your URLs to, not social bookmarking sites. Only after you have a site map setup, submitted to google, confirm that the site map was accepted (takes a little over 24 hours), then move onto other sites.

If you are building links with directory submission, make sure that you are not submitting to spam filled directories. If most of your links come from spam filled sites, google might associate your site with spammers. This could have an effect on how long it takes to index your site and new pages.

1 Upgrade your google sitemap , if you haven't one already go to http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

2 Social bookmarking as you said , Digg and Del.icio.us ..

To be honest you can probably include your site in your signature here and get it indexed within hours - Google crawls this forum constantly because it is updating so fast. If you don't believe me, check out "Spy" under fun stuff at the top ;)

Sometimes it takes 7 days before I can get a site indexed and other times they do it in a day or two. I really don't get it... I have heard that people can get indexed in just a matter of hours. I have never been that fortunate..

One thing you can do is improve the overall "importance" of your site.

But, until then, I concur with what others have said.

Another thing you can do is setup 3rd party boosters on Squidoo, Wordpress, etc. Get those indexed well and then when you have new content, drop a link over there to your new content to help with the effort.

A link on any popular web page that is spidered often should do the trick.

I do prefer to submit a properly generated Sitemap to Google Webmasters site. It gets indexed fast if you have the Sitemap for your webpage.

LOL - lets say you have a forum with 500,000 post or threads, are you going to submit everyone of them to google? My main forum gets around 1,500 - 2,000 post a day. I do not have the time to submit every URL directly to google. And why would I? Google provides this thing called a "site map" - it submits your urls directly to google without any action from you. All you need it an automatic site map generator for dynamic sites.

You may want to try a press release this forum or other top social bookmarking sites such as yahoo buzz. That is weird digg is the place most webmasters go to get indexed quickly how long ago did you submit it?

A site that's been up that long should be indexed by now. What terms are you optimizing the site for?
