Hi, I have a .net which is ikn position 11 in google.com but not even in top 100 in google.co.uk. How do I fix this as american eyeballs on the listing is useless, means nothing to them
There are many ways in which Google could guess your site is UK specific. (proven)If it's a .co.uk (proven)If it's hosted in the UK (proven)If it has a lot of links from the UK to it (maybe)If the whois shows the site as being UK owned (recent theory)If you have contact details that are in the UK (possibility)If it's visited by lots of people from the UK (with the Google toolbar installed)
You may consider these ways to get your .net domain ranked in Google.co.uk. However, your current ranking in Google.com may down or even not on the first 50 if you made these changes. If I were you, I would give a go with new .co.uk domain instead. 1. Get your site hosted under web hosting company based in UK. 2. Get backlinks from relevant websites based in UK. 3. Write content in UK english style 4. Write content topic towards UK
hmm im screwed. its .net hosted in the us (was cheaper) are there many uk article sites i could try to see, do you think that would work?
what if the .co and .org.uk are taken, even witha hyphen. do .me.uk have good placings on google.co.uk? i thought i had found a gem when i got this two word .net domain but as it's uk focused maybe its not so good
