I am trying to open up a paintball business in my home town in addition to getting a paintball team started up. I was wondering if anyone had any idea's to make money to get it going or ideas for sponsorships (Who I would contact? What kind of information would be needed to apply? Is there online business' that would sponsor a paintball team?). I though a decent way to make money is through the paintball team, find someone to sponsor it and then hit up a bunch of tournaments around the state and put the money towards the down payment of a loan for the construction of the business. Do you think this is a good idea? Please give a reason to your answer. I am open to all suggestions for it. We already have a website built located at www.reddirtpaint.com, we also have an online store and a forum. Nobody has joined the forum however and the store has not had one sell, most likely due to a lack of advertisment or something.... Please help!
You need to have a proposal for potential sponsors about what you can do for them. They are businesses and will only sponsor you if its worth their advertising dollars.
I was thinking that we would put the company logo on our jerseys of the paintball team. In addition when we finally get our fields built we would advertise their company there. I am also toying around with the idea of paying 10% back 6 months after I have the business set up. The reason I say 6 months is so it will give us a chance to bring in a little bit of cash to keep the business afloat. Any other ideas? What does everyone think?
Okay, I'm going to tell ya this, build a big fence around your high visibilty paintball field and then sell mini billboards all the way around it on the outside. Otherwise, start cold calling all the paintball brand names you can and dont stop bugging them til they come off something.

You can contact some business owner that sell paintball equipment,i'm sure they will sponsor you as long as you keep their company name at sponsor list.
