How to get my back links noticed?

    Hi,

I have carefully developed a number of very well targeted backlinks to my job hunting software site. I have only exchanged links with career coaches, recruiters, and resume writing services, so these links are very relevant. However, Google does not seem to have found them after many weeks. is there a way to point them to these quality links?

The best way to see if your links are working are improvements in serps. Google does not show all links pointing to your website but the same link can still bring your results in google up. Also try Yahoo Explorer and Backlinkwatch to check your links. A good way for spiders to find your link is by pinging the page with pingomatic.com or pingler.com, you may even bookmark them with help of automatic bookmarking software to get even more linkjuice from your link, but manually don't waste your time just hop on to the next link.

how are you looking to see whether google crediting you for the links? if you are not using google webmaster tool, then do so where you wil get more info about your backlinks. other then that, it takes sometimes months for google to start showing the backlinks so keep building the links and over time, they will show. just make sure the sites you are having your links on get crawled by googlebot on a regular basis (if the site has lot of backlinks, then googlebot will come to visit often) so that your links get followed sooner

Creating a social bookmark for the linking page will help Google index the page faster. It would also help if the linking site had the url in it's sitemap.

Exchanging links (particularly if you mean exchanging links on other sites "link pages") is not going to do you much good. You need one way links. As always, I recommend article marketing (it's what I rely on for about 90% of my link building.)

Google takes time to show it. Even back link is strong parameter of Yahoo search engine while PR is strong parameter of Google. So you should check in yahoo. You can use webmaster tool to find out actual number of back links.

What you have actually built are a load of low-value reciprocal links (two way links).

As for not finding them, well you dont know that, as Google never reports all the links to a site. Have you looked in your google webmaster tools account (you have one right?). However, as they are reciprocal links then the pages are already indexed (I would hope), so submit the webpage to social media sites to et the bots crawling them again to find your links.

Then go out and find out how to build valuable one way backlinks.

Thanks for all of the great input. I am using Google webmaster tools, but did not realize that two-way reciprocal links are not high value (even if they are with very relevant sites?) Need to re-think muy strategy. Thanks again.

That means the pages ,or subpages you placed your links arent indexed in google therefore you don`t see any backlinks. Propably the owners of the websites gaves you links on not indexed in google subpages. The simpliest way to get indexed is give some links to that pages. Forum links indexind fast, have you tried them ?

I can idex them for some $ if you need, it shouldnt take longer than one week. If you interested PM me

    This works the best.

At my company we call this link fortification. We submit almost every backlink to bookmarking sites using socialbookmarkingdemon. It's a great way to strengthen backlinks and ensure they stay indexed.

I use OnlyWire as a free service to bookmark my links. It works pretty well, you can also use Pingler to get those socially bookmarked links noticed.

With all the free, or cheap tools out there today it shouldn't be a long or difficult process.

Basically the only way Search Engines will find them is if the websites you trade links with keeps updating their content and spiders from Search Engines come to check out the new content and notice your links on the site as well.

Instead of two-way linking, do three-way linking. From A to B to C to A again.
