Hi! How do I get more traffic. My niche is badminton and I have been blogging about it for 2 months. I have great quality content for sure but my blog is registered as a blogspot blog only.
Search engines have always been a major way to get traffic for free. That is why you need to do your homework and optimize your site so that it ranks well for the keywords you target.
A lot has already been mentioned here so I shall focus on 2 areas of building traffic which I feel work really well. 1) Write quality UNIQUE articles on your niche and submit to article directories such as Ezine Articles. Try to write about 2 articles a day. These articles will rank well in the search engines natural because of the established article directories you have submitted them to. You then have targeted traffic who will hopefully click the link in the source box which you put at the end of the article and will visit your site. 2) Create an Ebook on your niche. This can be on anything within your niche. Places links within the Ebook back to your site. You then simply submit and post your Ebook to Ebook directories (places where people can download your book for free) People searching for Badminton Ebooks will find yours listed, will purchase and will hopefully end up on your site through your links. Having vast amounts of traffic is well and good but you need to have TARGETTED traffic, otherwise they will not submit to any calls to action on your site Hope that helps
There is a bunch of ways to get traffic to any website or blog; but it all comes down to search engine optimization; you mentioned to have great quality content but for who? remember, your blog should have thoughtful content that people wants; I do not mind to take a look at your blog and give you my honest opinion.
To get good traffic in a site it needs good SEO. And for SEO it needs good backlink and good keyword.
for more traffic, you need to expand the ways. you can try email marketing, facebook, twitter, linkedin and find some forums that is about sports and health. you can do it and insist on doing the marketing. You can reach your target.
Research SEO is one of the main things you can do plus it's free also, make sure your META tags are all accurate to the page and build back links going back to your blog!

SEO is important, particularly promoting your site through unique and valuable content. However, you should also have a social networking campaign in place.
