My website is http://www.ijdmtoy.com and my competitor's website is www.superbrightleds.com. I have been using Keywordspy to check on both sites but how come I have only 300 + organic keywords vs his over 5000 + organic keywords. I want to know what's the effective way to increase my website's organic keywords. thanks everybody! Any suggestion is good.
World's most pointless exercise. All that keyword spy is reporting is what search terms the site can be found for. But if those terms don't get search volume - i.e, only 2 people a month search for them, they're of no use to you. Having lots of longtails - keywords that get only a little search volume - is a strategy to get more traffic by getting a few hits for lots of keywords - but just racking up another couple of thousand 'keywords' for the sake of it is pointless.
For example, the keywords: LED, Car LED, Automotive LED, I want to have these more general keywords to rank higher for my website, thanks!
Most old and established sites get a lot of long-tail traffic and you can do that by ensuring your page title and URLs for internal pages (and products) are good.
Here is the Google AdWords tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal. This one is also useful, but for trends: http://www.google.com/insights/search/#. Best of luck!
You shouldn't just stuff your site with pointless keywords. Instead, use some tools to find ones that are rank-able and worthwhile. Then go for it!
You should try to figure out yourself which terms are really good for your online campaign - those that will give you revenue and those that are being searched by your target audience/market. Try Google Adwords to look for keyword suggestions for your site and select several ones that will suit your site the best.
use Google keyword research tool, Google trends or Google Insight. Though you should select only the keywords with high volume of searches. Don't stuff pages with lot of keywords.
Beyond keyword tools, you can start making your own phrases and potential keywords. Most searches are actually unique so you can get ahead in the game by preparing your content with the maximum number of possibilities.
More content is a great start. Also look and see what keywords are bringing traffic to your site now and run with a post or article based upon that keyword. Also do some more keyword research and build your site out based upon your newly found keywords. B
