    If you started a new group, You can join similar groups and ask members to join in your group. Also you can ask your friends to join there. Promote your group using forum signatures.

    One idea that worked for me.

    Create a viral email, add the link to that image and send it to your friends. Ask them to forward to their list too. But donot spam.
