Hello, I created the United Geek Society (Google "United Geek Society") a few weeks ago, and I am having trouble getting sign ups and active members. Due to my friends, I have managed to get ten members. A few members just came on their own, but aren't active any more. Here are my forum stats: 429 Posts in 79 Topics by 10 Members I limited guest usage, simply because time after time I have noticed a guest or two reading our posts, but not signing up. We have a competition going on, but it's not even pulling in our own members! What can I do to ensure the survival of my community through marketing? I am posting almost daily, using ffa links, directories, and other things, but I don't think it is helping much.
Look up paid posting services. IMO, keeping a forum active is one of the hardest things you can attempt. Paid posting will cost you, but it's probably the most practical way to keep your board active.
First, post as many informative or quality post as possible since this will help your SERP Second, promote your forum with forum signature at other same niche forum Third, invest some money on PPC or implement some contests on your forum
Hello, well i also had this problem with my forum but after two months i have 149 members and the same amount of posts as you, so just keep going. But make sure you have quality posts as i have many members who do not post, however this may be because my posts arent of quality to them so never give up.
