Hey everyone I have a blog and I am looking to get some activity on it. Since we all here are interested in blogging and possibly pod casting I was hoping you could take a look at my blog and perhaps give me suggestions on making this more visible. I want people to start commenting and eventhough i have made a ton of post's and I get traffic to my site I dont see people touching the blog http://www.directoryrevolution.com/blog/SEOBlog.htm
most of the visitors dont prefer to comment. infact you can just be happy that the blog is frequesly visited.
I took a look at your blog and I think the main reason for people not commenting is the topic you chose. It’s more of a “read and learn blog†than a “give my opinion blogâ€. Anyway I’m sure if you start visiting other similar blogs and leave comments many will reply and leave a comment.
I'd like to alter slightly what Emperor said above. Most of the time, I think a "read and learn blog" as he puts it gets that reputation for the content that is on it. Your topics, or at least the ones written here, are not really of the debate and discuss category. Are there any topics you can post where you ask questions of your readers? Maybe you can get some commenting that way.
I also agree. If you are looking for comments, try developing a blog that is political and opinionated like one of my favorite blogs, Thought Mechanics. If you insist on trying to get comments on your current blog, I agree with Emperor's theory of leaving comments on other people's blogs.
some one keeps giving me negative post reviews. I didnt do anything wrong here. Can someone please give me some positive feed back?
To get comments best thing is that you visit other blogs and write comments. Actually, commenting often depends on good networking too. If you can build some good relaitonship with few good bloggers then you will have comments. In 11 weeks of my blogging, I have so far received nearly 230 comments.
Good advice: bloggers tend to comment more than non-bloggers. Otherwise if you want comments for their own sake you write something that will annoy or offend people. Angry people will comment. Richard
