500 visitors a day shouldn't be that difficult if you write good quality content along with a proper SEO campaign.
If you don't mind junk traffic you can use autosurfs. I have 10 running on my old computer to generate junk traffic and boost my CTR%.

Way back when my thought was any link is a good link. After a few years of getting backlinks anyway possible my site is still #3 for an extremely competitive keyword. Some call them worthless but 3 years later I still get 500 or more visitors a day on auto pilot.

Hi, There is some great info already posted. I have not noticed anyone mentioning creating a blog and a forum. These each take effort, because you will need to fill them both with quality content. You will also have to keep making posts at your blog in order to maintain your followers and grow. Your forum will take lots of posts and attention as well in order to get it rolling. Search engines love blogs and forums but you are still probably looking at several months to reach the 500 mark. My most recent forum just broke 500 (530 visits per day) on 2-8-11, and it has been about 90 days. However, traffic is actually snowballing, so it is just getting off the ground.
