Firstly - @dzi - LMAO!!!!!!!! Secondly - @sachin - That's a very broad question! You can get tonnes of traffic by signing up to Google Adwords and paying $1000's per month on PPC, but i'm guessing that's not what you meant If you are looking for cheap (as in FREE) ways to get traffic to your site, you need to: 1) Optimise your site for particular keywords, creating pages for each 2) Build lot's of keyword and branded links into your homepage 3) Build keyword links into each of the sub-pages 4) Keep doing it!!! Try online directories, article distribution, PR (press release) distribution, social bookmarking, blog commenting & forum participation for quick, easy (and FREE) backlinks.
There are many ways, but if you use font size and red color like that, you'll also get more bounce rate on your website.
Each day 10,000+ cars drive by my office. If 12,000 a day drove by my office I wouldn't make any more money. Traffic. What is traffic? Customers and People. Give them what they want and then you won't need to worry about Traffic.
All the above methods "would" work. However I haven't heard anyone mention adding unique content preferably 3-5 paragraphs long with whichever keywords you want integrated into your topic. I've had websites go from 0 traffic to 1,000 UV's daily within the time span of 3-4 months. Also you should know what are who you're traffic is, this way you can build your site to better fit the wants and demands of your key visitors. My suggestion to you csachin.coolboy would be to add content to your pages and not to worry about traffic. Its sort of like fishing, certain lures attract certain fish, some lures are able to attract more fish then others. In the end you really just have to stop and think, "What would I want to see as a visitor to my own website?" I took your website for a test drive sachin.coolboy and your content is placed HORRIBLY and to top it off you really don't have much content. Build articles that relate to each page and you will see those pages get unique organic traffic for that specific page. I've learned that your front page isn't always your largest visitor magnet. On one of my sites there's one page with a higher PR then the actual home url. You probably want to track which pages get more traffic and change your other pages to fit that standard.
A few ideas: 1. Content is king. Make sure your content is unique, helpful, and well written. 2. Create backlinks. 3. Submit your site to as many directories (PR3 or higher) as possible. 4. Pray!
So, what if those 10,000+ cars stopped, parked up, and the drivers got out and came into your office?
+1 rep added, for the best answer out there now.. to the thread starter: Besides FAST traffic you can get from google adwords or PPC campaigns, that will empty your wallet for sure ... In general, those are the main ways to get backlinks, of-course, there are many others, but indeed, those are the main ones : 1. Submit your website web directories. Here it is a 1500 do-follow directories list. Take your time and submit your site there. 2. Submit your article to article directories. Make sure you're having unique articles, and I advice you to avoid submitting the same article to more than 10 directories. Here it is a list with the best article directories. About 100 of them. 3. Use social bookmarking sites. Here it is a list with about 100 social bookmarking sites, arranged by their PR. 4. Use forums and forum signature to drive traffic and get one-way backlinks. Here it is a list with about 200 DO-FOLLOW forums. They are arranged by PR, and the first 100 of them are webmaster related. So.. go and drive some traffic to your website .
