I agree with all that in the end adsense is more of a traffic volume game than anything else. More traffic = more clicks = more $$$ But how to get more traffic I have used traffic providers like adbrite, avnads and others but they are damn expensive. SEO is not my cuppa tea. Have just started a campaign at youtube via video watermarking what else do you guys use and recommend to drive HUGE amount of traffic? PS I think buying skimmed traffic is useless. Its mostly bots or uninterested visitors.
Don't buy crappy traffic, it's against TOS, they call it "paying users to watch and click your ads" - and they're right, bought cheap traffic is from pop unders and low quality sites (warez, adult, cracks etc), simple way to get banned. My traffic is 100 % from serps, you can also try social bookmarking sites like digg. You don't have to be a seo SEO guru to get traffic, just make basics (titles, seo friendly urls) and keep placing links at web directories, traffic will come from ninche keyphrases - you'd be amazed what kind of keyphrases and how many of them will bring you traffic, just don't think about it, do your job and do it regularry, don't give up ps. I have websites with lots of traffic from msn, the most funny thing is that I've tried to find my websites by myself by placing this keywords and i haven't found them anywhere, I just don't know what is going on, maybe I know SEO, but I don't know how to search
OK thanks guys keep the hints rolling and can someone clarify the point raised by intruder2600 regarding crappy traffic. pop unders and blind visitors pused to site are certainly not acceptable but visitors that come to my site by clicking other paid ads should be fine, no??
Use services like Digg/StumbleUpon/BlogEngage, that's how my blog originally got rolling while waiting for the SE traffic to come in. I decided not to do any SEO on the blog and just let things come naturally except sig links + stumble/blogengage.com... it's at a decent amount now. I've done WAY better traffic wise with new sites, but since the blog is personal, it didn't matter. I suggest you DO do a little bit of SEO + a lot of little simple things like sig links. A little goes a long way in the future.
Thats more appropriate way to get traffic, just try social networking site like myspace, orkut, etc....
ok, will try social network sites as well as stumbleupon, digg. However I still think that in order to succeed in the adsense game one needs to buy loads of traffic. in the long run of course above methods have better potential.
if one does buy loads of traffic and the number of impressions annd clicks shoot up and remain high, at what point google bans or warns? when traffic shoots up or when they send the next payment?
Read up on social bookmarking, it is useful and free traffic. Aatna: if impression goes high and ur click is low, you will have a bad CTR%
you can get massive traffic by social networks like myspace and orkut its easy fastest and targetted valid way to het massive traffic. Mudassar
All the above are great but think about doing article marketing...Your articles can and will get published all over the internet..Their are sooooooooooo many other ways but I don't want to give everything away..but article marketing is a good start
All of these ideas are fantastic... to a certain degree it depends on the method, but it also helps how hard you work at it, stick with it, where you place your ads, who your target audience is, etc.
Well visitors from paid ads on other sites should be fine as long as those sites are approved by google TOS.
1. Submit Videos 2. Submit Articles 3. Social Networking sites 4. Social Bookmarking sites 5. Joint Ventures 6. eBooks 7. Forums 8. Press Releases
i appreciate your views guys but SEO and other similar ventures give you limited amount of traffic. One needs thousands upon thousands of visitors to get going for adsense, at least initially otherwise one loses interest. Anyways I have bought loads of traffic and it seems to be working fine. The question is if Google does not like it when are they going to complain....now when the number of visitrs have shot up or later when they prepare the next paymant? does anyone know?
