For a review fee of only $299 ($600 for adult sites). If your listing is accepted into the Directory, there will be a $299 recurring annual fee in subsequent years ($600 for adult sites) to maintain the listing.

The details are mentioned on the yahoo directory submit page itself. Why don't you take a minute and read their submission page. You shall know all the details you need. :)

Why would you wanna be listed in yahoo and why should yahoo list your blog should be the two things in your mind.

No reputed directory will list something very new. You must focus on your sites content first rather than thinking about being listed in directories. :)

Why Yahoo? There are many other sites that you can get listed in. I have checked a lot of sites that have good ranking any most of then are not shown as listed in Yahoo.

In my personal opinion do not encourage the paid directory listings. The open directories starts with a good intention of service to public by providing the best results. Now it turned to a big business.

yeah, don't waste your money on yahoo, they're just cashing in on the hype, but there's not enough for you to gain from it

just order from a directory submission service, get a couple of hundred links and move on the other, more important link building tactics

don't get me wrong directory submissions still work great, but it's just 1 of the many ways to get links

My advice is keep posting fresh and unique content in your blog, give blog link as signature and submit in free blog directories.

Also participate in seo forums, follow these steps and you will definitely get good traffic towards your blog.

How Yahoo directory (and it is expensive) is better than other directories? Does it have good pagerank, dofollow links? Is it visited by a lot of consumers? Does anyone have this information?

BTW, I submitted my site to a few dozen free directories, it's been a month but I don't see any increase in traffic, pagerank or backlinks...
