Is there any provision to get listed in Wikipedia? If yes, what would be the criteria? Could anyone shed light on this please? I have few informative sites which i would love to get on to Wiki!
All I can say is good luck. You can list your sites yourself if you want, but don't be surprised if someone removes the link 15 minutes later. Even if your site provides good information someone may decide to pull it for any number of reasons. You see, there's people out there with no lives who spend all their free time writing stuff for Wikipedia. This wouldn't be much of a problem except that these people then decide to camp out on a Wiki and rule over it like it's their own personal kingdom. They get real offended if you make any changes that doesn't agree with their own opinion on that topic. These people are losers because if they spent half the time, making websites for profit, as they do on Wikipedia making nothing, they'd be making some serious income. Unless you're looking to plagiarize, I mean research something for school you should really just stay away from Wikipedia. It's too much of a headache.
Wikipedia is based on members writing the articles. So register and write a article that includes the link. Make sure you follow the quality standards Wikipedia has. They are very high, if you stay below those then people will edit your post. Make also sure the article, information and links are relevant.
I got in there by inventing a buzz word. "customer reciprocation" Since my site/service is the only provider It is a s good as having a link directly from wikipedia.
I would surely look into the aspects and try my best to get listed in wiki. Thanks to you all for your wonderful support and time!
