The only way I is to hack Yahoo, which may not work that well.

One guy posted on this board that he would get you in free for $50 or $75.00

and he too the money from few members and ran.

So, don't try that if he send you PM with that kind offer.

I've heard that the Yahoo UK directory accepts free submissions, but with the usual caveat that they don't guarantee timely inclusion.

I've done a few submissions recently, but haven't check to see if I've managed to get in. Thanks for reminding me.

 

Yep, try the UK directory.

I once paid a guy $50 to get me a free listing and it worked within a week. No idea how he did it.

i think it's not possible to be listed by yahoo directory for free.

 

Usually paid is much prioritize than free so be patient and wait for approval.

 

Wrong. I got a site in recently (into the US directory of yahoo) for free.
Not sure why they accepted that one and not others, but the bottom line is that it is possible to get listed for free.

I have a theory though

from what I see is that only few categories have the free option. These categories mainly can list out sites that give out information and is not commercial.
