Does anyone know who to contact or a form to fill out where I can get my company listed in Google's local search. It isn't there and three of the companies that are, are out of business. Thanks.

I was under the impression that Google used on-page info (address phone etc), whois info and the user's IP to decide what companies should show up in the local SERPs. That's my idea of how it works. Anyone else have better info?

we have been gettting some traffic from local recently. The pages that are getting the traffic seem to have the zip code in the title of the page along with one or two of the main keywords. There are also phone numbers and addresses on those pages as well in the body.
