ok thanks for suggestion, but i need list my website in dmoz directory so i need good suggestion if possible please post then i will submit my website and listing my site
Why do you NEED too? Its no better or worse than any other directory. Do you NEED to get listed in the rest of them? Submit & forget, it's the best solution... or even forget to submit, as the wait time is often the exact same! If you read someplace that the ODP is the bread & butter of SEO solutions, find a better blog to read, as the one you are getting your information from is out dated to say the least. Seriously, just submit & forget. Your site will be reviewed and either added or rejected, there is no way to tell when or by whom, so there is nothing more you can do.
My old thread with DMOZ price list and how to buy it: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=445035 But Q is right, DMOZ listing is worthless.
You nailed it. DMOZ likes to see a plumber having one website about his business. Once you have "a number of websites", they are not genuine. I have 60+ sites. None are genuine but one. I have one about Breitling, one about La Pavoni, one about the Nikon D60, etc...They are not genuine because it's only a bunch of affiliate websites that bring me money. Yes, I update them weekly. But only my genuine website, the one for my business, for my company, the one for my real job, the genuine one got listed in DMOZ in 2 weeks...
And who says my sites are all about the same thing I run a number of legitimate websites, from professional business to free hosting to entertainment based sites. None of those are 'not genuine', they're ALL about different things, and they ALL cover different software.
There IS no problem, except that the good old boys club doesn't want my sites in. Not a surprise. DMOZ is a group of self important hacks, nothing more.
lol yea garenteed dmoz listing for $100 is a funny service. Received 10 orders, submit them all in 30 minutes 2 get in, 8 don't, refund the money, easy $200 made
Advertise to where? DMOZ does not have ads, nor do they advertise, so I am not sure I understand your question. If you need an adnetwork, check out AdWords (google) Publisher Network (yahoo) adCenter (Microsoft) Affiliate Programs (various) Or Advertising (digital point) If you wanted to advertise your site, please search here on Digital Point, as there are other areas here for that. If you meant something else concerning the ODP/DMOZ then please restate the question, thank you.
Yes, none. Even DMOZ too. When I was immature I was also crazy for getting listed in DMOZ. But now I am mature.
