    make a gr8 site.. people will automatically give you link.. Look at wikipedia.....

    Submit to free directories/ezines & social bookmarking sites( beware of the quality of traffic).

    I've slowed down getting more backlinks for the time being, a bit concerned about getting too many too soon. Currently I have about 1500, I even have a couple from here and I'm not allowed to post my sig yet, I have a couple of pages on page 3 which is an improvement on 'nowhere to be found' a couple of weeks ago.
    I'm putting a blog on my site, does anyone know if this will help with PR?

    Good points. Also some webmasters look for some content writers for their blogs and give a link back to your blog ... Could try that option too. Worth the time if you hit on a good blog.
