    Hi,

My site is .edu site and has recent traffic and no PR.

I need to get links from .edu and .gov sites and also it should be one way only.

Is there any possible ways to obtain it? What should i do for it?

i used to optimize college sites and the best method is just ask for it. if you in the education business than try to mail other webmaster`s univerities and colleges. most of them will give you a link without asking for a link back.

hey, why do you need the link from .edu or .gov site only? You can also have links from .com sites. Search engines are very intelligent and they go by relevant links. So for example if yours is an educational site, you could get link from some blog on education or universities. Better than trying to get link from .gov site!

    - don't target only .edu and .gov
    - students blog a lot in .edu sites (search for students in .edu and ask them to give a link to your site)
    - use the DP link buy thread to buy from .edu, .gov and .org
    - look for student general blogs and search inbound links of their blogs. if you see someone having links from .edu then ask him/her how he/she got that.

I agree with justkidding - you don't need to target .edu and .gov. There's nothing special about these domain extensions and if you buy such links off DP, they have probably already been spammed by the acai berry brigade so they are next to useless.

Look for quality, relevant sites regardless of domain extension.

I've done it on an .edu before, for a site that had a lot of very well organized info about a legal topic. You have to look for .edu sites that have a "resource page" of links that point to further information on a topic.

Build links from quality sites, regardless whether it is .edu or .gov. This should somehow do the trick!

because lots of them dont care about SEO they only care about teaching - they are old fashion. thefore it`s a great idea to ask for one way links from people that doesnt care :)

To get links from edu's/gov sites all you have to do is write a research article that helps them/makes it simple for them to do or find things simply that will save them time and headache. Do that and ask for a link when you contact each "Niche Targeted" .edu. On the other hand if you want to have all this automated for you, just give us buzz and we can make it happen for you at http://www.omsolutions.net/cafeteria.html

Have a good directory submission for your website would count more than 4-5 .edu backlinks...

There are lot of .edu dofollow blogs. You could comment them in effective manner to get backlinks.
