I'd rather run a contest like the one found in my sig =)

Paying to get blogged is wise also but then you should focus on why you want to get blogged. The 2 alternatives are for SEO purposes and for Traffic purposes.

I run three Word Press themed blogs and I welcome relevant and non-spammy comments. When the topic drifts or if the link is to an adult site, then I treat those comments as spam.

Some bloggers, such as myself, incorporate PPP or welcome paid entries directly from other blogs. If there is a blog that is of particular interest to you, consider contacting the blog owner directly to arrange something.

Then writing well written comments on other people's blogs seems like the best course of action for you.

But it's called Comment Spamming also in 99% blogs comments have nofollow attribute..so it does not help

You can either pay some one like me to post your article in my pr blog or you can make a site that some one really likes and they will write in there blog for free.

I would try doing a search for your topic plus the word "trackback". This will help you identify blogs. If you find things about your topic, simply comment on their entry and put your name and url in appropriate fields. Usually this will have the no-follow attribute, but if your site is truly relevant and your comments are useful, it is likely that they will visit your site and possibly link to it.

Another idea is to create the blogs yourself. You could take the content from your site Autosummarize it in Word and make a bunch of posts to a blog. Then link to your site from there. This won't give you instant page rank, but if your content is good, it will give you some good links from a non spammy site that you control.

Also getting features on Digg or Boing Boing is a great way to get a lot of blog posts. I've had 3 or 4 articles make it there and I end up with a tremendous number of back links from it.
