I think as far as meta data is concerned the less phrases the better. target each page for specific keywords and remember that the title is more important than at least the rarely used keyword meta tag. You must be a good article that can create a unique content using your targeted keywords and at the same time your content would not look keyword spamming.
create a phrase that best describes your site in 4-5 words... make sure that all the targeted keywords are inside in this 4-5 words...
