How to get Joomla 1.0 to not show meta descriptions for all items on front page

    I have a bit of a problem...I have a site that publishes many content items' intro text on the front page (it shows them as a list). The problem with this is, joomla also publishes their description and keyword meta on the front page. Does anyone know how i can get joomla to stop doing that?
