How to Get Images Onto a webpage?

This is the deal:

I have thousands of images uploaded to my server that i want to place on my webpage.

I also want to label each image with a code so that when people contact me about the item they can refer to it by number.

My question to you is: What is the most efficient and effective way to accomplish this?

One other thing: I dont want to place the images on there one at a time. I need to put them on the site in bunches, if not all at one time, or at least in groups.

 

use FTP to upload them

 

they are already uploaded. i need them displayed on a webpage and the images are in a folders.

Numerous images or photos gallery softs that will do exactly what you are looking for.

 

You could use Wordpress and then just insert the gallery link. It allows you to edit the names pretty easily too.
