How to get Images Indexed by Google Image Search?

    Wanted to know if there was a way to get images indexed by Google Image Search. Anybody know any hints?

    put a text by using alt tags so SE's have a way to find your image. SE's can track pages/content through text.

    How long can get images indexed?

    My site have 6 months old, have keywords on file name and ALT & Title Tag, but no image indexed.

    What's happening?

    use alt tags. also, meta tags to the file might not help now but may in the future. it does on flickr so it might be something google picks up eventually.

    Alt and Title tags would help, make sure you post the images around though, that would help too.

    Google normally indexes your images with your links. So it should be fairly easy. Otherwise, here are some guidelines:

    first, host the image with Google, if possible, like in Blogger
    Second, in Google webmaster tools, enable enhanced image search. This helps give you better search with your images.

    you can login into webmaster tools and that tool has an option to allow google to crawl for images:)

    Google image search can be very frustrating and the inner workings are a bit mysterious. The technology and google's communcation about it is certainly lagging far behind textual search and the updates are far less frequent.
