Backlinks are of huge importance in google. I use them quite a bit on my site. You can also improve keyword density. That makes a significant difference as well. If you were writing an article on search engine rankings, make sure that you use the full term a few times without abbreviating. The abbreviations are good in addition as others may search for them, but make sure you include the full search phrase. Also make sure the remaining content of the article is relevant to the topic. Keyword density isn't quite as important as it was in the past, but search engines still use it as a factor. Hopefully, this was helpful. I agree, backlinks are a huge help. Perhaps a better question is does anybody have tips on how to create the most backlinks. Do you use software, do you manually find related topics and post backlinks, contact webmasters of related websites, etc. I know that's the most difficult part for me. haha, very true. This isn't an overnight process. I once read that if your looking to build a blog designed for ad revenue generation, that you should be spending 90% of your time working on backlinks and 10% actually writing articles.
