It is possible to get PR on a fan page. The first thing you might want to do is grab a unique url however from facebook.com/username. If you build up PR and then change to the easier url, you will lose all the PR initially. Each "fan" gives a backlink so you will need lots of them. If you have a website, it would be useful to link to the page as well. I have seen PR6 FB fan pages
You can get PR on your facebook fan page just as you would a normal page; by adding backlinks for it. However, I'm not sure why you'd even want that page to have a high PR? It would be better if you focused your efforts on your main site instead.
Post something interesting in the fan page and share it with your friends so that it'll pop up in their news feeds. It would come up in their highlights tab. If there are plenty of "likes" and comments in it, people would be interested or curious enough to look. Also, have your friends repost for you.
Try to submit that group into social networks maybe That will give you some quality back links for a start
I think the same algorithm apply on facebook fan page like we do out website promotion and increase pr, but in facebook you can directly invite your friends on your page.
Crazy... crazy... !!! This was the first thing came in my mind, while reading this whole thread !!! Why on earth would you want to increase a pagerank of a page which is not on your own domain? Just because it has your so called "FAN PAGE", which even has a link of your site displayed on it !!!! Well then let me tell you the secret that Facebook is a no-follow site, so you dont get any backlinks from it, even if you try to do some SEO for your fan page... lol !!!! So better plan some viral marketing techniques to increase your fans and likes on your facebook page, instead of thinking and talking something crazy and weird !!!!
I agree with China_Girl that I would not worry about Page Rank in this case. I would concentrate on promoting your Page on FB via your friends to drive traffic to your website. There are many ways to do this. I would also make sure you ask your blog/website visitors to follow you on FB. You can include social media button on your website linking back to your FB Page. Give special offers/discounts/incentives for existing readers to visit your FB Page regularly, and give incentives to FB friends to visit your site, primarily by providing such incredible value and information that they truly want to check on what you are doing. And never forget to build a relationship with your readers. People want to follow, buy from other PEOPLE, so if people grow to trust you and like you, that is the best promotion you can start out with, and the basis of success for all of your other business growth
YOur FB fans page will have high PR if many people subscribe/like the page. FB fans is about generate traffic not about high PR. If your page has many fans then it will has high PR then you will get huge traffic.
