    That could again be due to lower cpc. If your niche is high paying and if your ctr is higher (5% or more than that) you will get more dollar even with a comparatively lesser traffic; on the other hand even with heavy traffic, when the niche is low paying and ctr is lower (say less than 1%), your income is bound to be less.
