Hi there, I have recently created a new blog, and have added 50 news articles, avg 500 words each and I was just wondering if anyone had any fair idea on how quickly google will crawl the new website and index all the added content etc. So far, I've added content, pinged the website on a few websites, verified site via WT, added a sitemap to WT, changed the crawl rate for google to index the site from slow to really quick. Is there anything else I could do to get make the site get indexed a lot quicker? Have I done the right steps? thanks.
pinging doesn't help in indexing as much as it did before. adding sitemap to webmaster tool can take a week or more for the homepage to get indexed. best way to get a site and all your inner pages indexed would be to build some links on high traffic sites. googlebot visits those sites several times a day and follow the links it finds on those pages so your site gets indexed quick. few top social bookmarking sites can do the trick. i c you added 50 articles. are they the only articles you will add on the site or you will add more? if you keep adding more content, that will be fine but if you do not add anymore articles, then it would have been better to start off with 30 articles and keep the rest of the 20 for adding them on a every other day basis. this way google finds fresh content on your site regularly which is important to keep googlebot on your site
Thanks for replying, appreciate it. Yes, I will be adding many articles on a daily basis, I've added around 20 yesterday/30 today, SO FAR. In about 1 - 2 weeks, i'll be adding say 1 -3 articles per day, the site will be updated on a constant basis. Cool about the backlinks, I think i'll hire a link builder, to do some linkbuilding for the site on high authority sites that relate to my niche.
great also, can someone offer some advice. I added the site to webmaster tools with the www. however when you visit the website it doesn't automatically show with the www. the site was live a few weeks ago, and the demo site, with demo posts was up and google have indexed those posts from a few weeks ago - it shows when you type in site:mysite.com - I have since deleted those demo site posts. However, when i type in site:www.mysite.com in google, nothing comes up. Do I need add the www. in the hosting cp so the site automatically shows up with the www. when visitors visit the site and also for google to properly index the website? thanks
1. Try To Post your content to social bookmarking site, onlywire.com is a good way to save time. 2. Signature link to your content on forum also help you indexed much quickly. 3. Guest Post, but it's not easy to approve by webmaster if your content are not quality.
You said "news articles". I take you mean press releases. PR web would've been good in that regard. Sounds you are off to a nice start. I don't deal with WT, and pinging or no pinging you will still get your site listed by doing nothing. Have you been doing any videos? If you use socialadr then this may be a good solution for your social bookmarks - the effect of this varies from niche to niche. The tougher the niche or KW then the more socialadr-ing you'd need. Lots of ways to build traffic.
Hi there, not press releases, just normal news articles, that sites like techcrunch.com, bbc, the sun, etc report on. the articles are no way like press releases.
submit your url into directory, if you don't have time to do that, I can blast your site into more than 3000 websites to make your website indexed quickly
Don't go for quick ranking. Built that stage by stage with regular content update and natural link building.
I see. Sounds good. Do you use a widget for this, or do you copy and paste? Just curious how that works...
Its really going to depends. Sometimes google won't see your new content for days, weeks and sometimes it will see its in a matter or seconds or minutes. you could also throw some backlinks on there and using a program/service to get those backlinks indexed and when google indexes the backlinks it will find your site too.
You should also acquire some backlinks from other related and high quality sites, and Google spider will then crawl and index your site relatively faster.
