    Good traffic comes from good advertising. It's not good blasting MySpace with bulletins about comfy slippers and cigars. To get good traffic, go to your source of users - if you've got a site about video games, get onto video game forums and start posting with links in your sig, or contact the forum owner and enquire about an advertising partnership. If your site is about gadgets, try to get onto the front page of Digg... etc.

    The good idea in my opinion is to try posting with link in yours signature on theme-forums connected topically with your website.. example: you have a web site about health and if you want traffic you need to post on forums about same things... PS that generates a very high quality traffic that makes high score on adsense ;) keep it secret

    I agree with StumbleUpon for getting some hits.

    My blog - and a new forum I started - are getting a few hits from StumbleUpon. All you need to do is just suggest your own site... after that you'll see StumbleUpon.com getting mentioned in your logs/G.Analytics.
