How do you get good PR on a proxy? I dont really understand it because a proxy only has 1 page; the home page. And I thought that PR was based on how many pages you have indexed and how frequently they are updated. Please, elighten me
In some aspects because a proxy site only has one page (usually) it should be easy however in other cases it could be considered harder as there will be no internal links (these are links from one page to another, internally). However because it is only one page, each backlink to the website will be directed at that one page, meaning all the link juice will be on one page. When i used to have my proxy network i got every single proxy site page ranked with in 4 months, one site got a page rank 3 most of the others were page rank 2. This was because i linked each proxy site to one another, so this acted like internal links. However instead were just seen by Google as backlinks (a link from one site to another). The main way you recieve page rank on a proxy site is through backlinks, and increasing backlinks not only increases link juice but also increase popularity and the strength of your proxy site in the search engines. Page rank is based on the amount of backlinks you have going to your webpage mainly, however this includes internal links and backlinks also known as inbound links. Obviously the more pages you have the more internal links you will have therefore this will help the link juice and in turn help you increase or gain page rank. The frequency of updates to your website has more effect on SEO rather than page rank, as this allows Google search engines to index you more frequently, however i will not go in to this.
